1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in Grove, creating an account, or otherwise accessing or using the Grove platform (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Grove (“we,” “us,” “our”). Your enrollment and continued use of Grove constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any future updates made in accordance with Section 15.
2. Eligibility
To create a Grove account, you must be at least 18 years of age and the legal parent or guardian of the child who will use the Service.
Children enrolled in Grove must be between the ages of 5 and 16 at the time of enrollment. We reserve the right to verify the age of both parent/guardian and child.
By enrolling a child, you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to consent on behalf of the child and that the child meets the age requirements specified above.
3. Account Registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
Each Grove account represents one family. Multiple children may be enrolled under a single family account, but each child must have their own profile with accurate information.
As the parent or guardian on the account, you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including your child's interactions with the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

After enrollment, the Service is billed on a monthly subscription basis. Additional developmental tracks are available as add-ons at their listed prices. All pricing is displayed at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at legal@exploregrove.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect the current billing period.

11. AI Disclaimer
Grove is an AI-powered cognitive development tool. It is not a licensed therapist, counselor, psychologist, or medical professional. It is not a school, tutoring service, or educational institution.
The developmental insights, recommendations, and observations provided by Grove are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended as a supplement to—not a substitute for—professional medical, psychological, educational, or therapeutic advice.
If you have concerns about your child's development, mental health, or well-being, please consult a qualified professional. Grove will recommend professional consultation when its systems detect patterns that warrant it.
12. Safety & Mandatory Reporting
Grove maintains an independent duty of care to children using the Service. Our clinical team monitors safety events and has the authority to act in the best interest of the child.
Grove complies with all applicable mandatory reporting obligations. If our systems or clinical team detect indicators of child abuse, neglect, or imminent danger to a child's safety, we are legally and ethically obligated to report such concerns to the appropriate authorities, regardless of parental preferences.
By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to these safety obligations.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GROVE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for our safety and mandatory reporting obligations described in Section 12. Grove's duty of care to children is not subject to limitation.
14. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings or by contacting us.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you materially breach these Terms, subject to reasonable notice where practicable.
Upon termination, your data will be preserved and accessible for 90 days, during which you may export it. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except for safety event records retained as required by law.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email and a notification on your parent dashboard.
Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription and export your data before the changes take effect.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
